Power and air conditioning. These are two most important environmental factors for the High Performance Computing (HPC) industry. PSSC Labs management sought a facility with enough power and air conditioning to support the constantly growing number of clusters they ship every month. PSSC Labs recently found the perfect facility to support their power and air conditioning needs now and in the future.
In April of 2004, PSSC Labs moved all operations to a 12,000 sq. ft building configured perfectly for HPC cluster assembly, integration and testing. Over 75% of the facility space is completely open and dedicated to system integration. More importantly, the facility possesses over twenty seven tons of dedicated air condition along with seventy 20AMP power circuits. PSSC Labs' integration facility can accommodate the largest HPC clusters. This facility is extremely important because it allows PSSC Labs to conduct all hardware assembly, burn in testing and software integration in house. There is absolutely NO out sourcing of any work. As many of our competitor's look to save cost by outsourcing important tasks such as system integration and hardware testing to third parties, PSSC Labs feels it is important to take control of the entire process from system assembly to final testing.
Each PSSC Labs HPC cluster runs through a battery of tests designed to maximize memory, process, network I/O utilizations. This thorough process is conducted to identify any issues. Before shipping, PSSC Labs HPC clusters undergo close to 100 hours of testing. This in house process ensures that PSSC Labs Cluster Technicians are intimately familiar with all aspects of your cluster hardware and software. We can offer immediate support for any issue that may arise.
